Further Terrorism by Sea Shepherd Conservation Society
(SS)
SS attacked Yushin-maru No.3 at night

At two a.m. 18th of January, SS Zodiac boat sneaked up during dark night and attacked her sister ship, Yushin-Maru No.3, one of the Antarctic research expedition vessels owned by the Kyodo Senpaku Kaisha, by throwing 10 butyric acid bottles.

That was immediately after her sister vessel Yushin-Maru No.2, had released two SS activists to Australia chartered vessel, the Oceanic Viking.

The Yushin-Maru No.2 that suffered butyric acid bottles and rope entanglement attacks was illegally boarded by two SS activists on 15th of January. Two days after, these activists were handed to Australian custom vessel, the Oceanic Viking.

Condemning the repeated violent action of SS, Kazuo Yamamura, President of Kyodo Senpaku Kaisha stated as follows:

“We have handed two illegal intruders safely to Australian authorities despite that SS has been unlawfully attacked our vessels. Nevertheless, SS attacked our vessel again during the dark. Such action should be condemned as an inhumane terrorist attack.”

He also said,
“To ensure safety of our crew, the Government of Australia should order their vessel to seize the terrorist vessel, the Steve Irwin.”
